  • Steps

    • Heated 2 cups honey to 240F

    • Heated 1.5 cups honey to 140F (overshot 120F)

    • Added 1 vanilla bean + orange zest

    • Chocolate variation:

      • Added 1 cup shaved chocolate

    • Mixed together for ~5 minutes

    • Poured into parchment paper lined pan

    • Let cool at room temperature for ~2 hours, then fridge

  • Results

    • Taste good but texture horrible! Sticky, tacky, fudgy. I think using honey was a mistake. I'll try this recipe next time, mostly because the photo looks like what I'm after: flaky.
