I put ⅔ the amount of sugar in the apples
Added little more lemon zest than called for, and used Meyer lemon
Sugar for topping was a mix of cane (50%), dark brown (25%), and coconut (25%)
Used 1 ¼ tsp nutmeg + ½ tsp cardamom (would recommend!)
Used half pecans and half hazelnuts (would recommend!)
Used a standard bourbon for the apples
Used granny smith apples
Must serve with vanilla ice cream!!
