Apple crumble

  • My adjustments:

    • I put ⅔ the amount of sugar in the apples

    • Added little more lemon zest than called for, and used Meyer lemon

    • Sugar for topping was a mix of cane (50%), dark brown (25%), and coconut (25%)

    • Used 1 ¼ tsp nutmeg + ½ tsp cardamom (would recommend!)

    • Used half pecans and half hazelnuts (would recommend!)

    • Used a standard bourbon for the apples

    • Used granny smith apples

  • Must serve with vanilla ice cream!!
